What ages are your characters?
The ages of my characters are usually between the ages of 25 and 35 with most of them being more late 20's and early 30's. I think I do that because I want my characters to have a vibe that they are fully aware of the choices they are making in life. I want them to have a little of life's experiences under their belt. Besides, when they are closing in on age 30, or just passed it, they have inherent baggage that helps me shape their characters a bit more.
Good question! Vacations inspires me, visuals such as scenes on TV (commercials, some reality TV shows, the news) and daydreaming! And speaking of dreaming, the inspiration for another full length novel, "Long Term Assignment" that isn't done yet came to me as a dream. Therefore, inspirations can come from just about anywhere for me.
What is the one message you hope women will receive when they read your stories?
I'm not sure that I've written anything with a clear message coded within the story, yet. The closest I might have come is in "Love Encounters" release date Summer 2014. That story involves an interracial romance where there were a few small hurdles to clear before it could end happily ever after. Mostly, I write everything with the hope that women will find an entertaining story and can incorporate into their day. Someday, I hope that the story they read will remain in their minds until they want to read my next story. That's a tall list, I know.
