I hope that you enjoy this week's questions and answers. When you're done reading mine, be sure to Hop on over to the next stop.
If someone could observe you writing without you knowing they were there, what strange practices might they catch you doing?
They would see me tilt my head, hard left while I type. Then they'd see me tilt my head hard right and my fingers randomly freeze over my keyboard time to time. They'll probably see a habit I've had since child hood where I stick my tongue out of the corner of my mouth and bite down on it then suck my bottom lip into my mouth.
The real treat is when I do all of these at the same time.
I wear reading glasses, these days. Yeah, I know...I'm getting old. However, it's very often that I might drop my chin to my chest and look over the rim of my glasses while I try to process a scene in my head.
Other than a creative outlet, how does writing benefit you? The more I write, the more I get practice at attempting to hone the craft of writing. I also love when things that other accomplished author messages click in my mind. I've attended workshops and keynote speeches and I love to hear how the pros do their thing and over the years of writing story after story, the light bulb sometimes go off inside of my head. The Ah Ha! moment hits me and makes me love writing even more.
I usually feed my muse with music or TV followed by salty and/or spicy snacks.
Don't forget to hop on over to my writing Pal, Fiona Riplee http://fionariplee.com/blog to see how she answered these very same questions.
