I certainly can answer most, if not all of their questions but I often find myself going into deep detail about the process after they ask about. Which, by the way, I love doing because I enjoy that part of the teaching process.
You never know what buzz word will stick inside of a person's head that will want to make them follow a writing dream.
The only problem about telling them the deep details, shortly into it, their eyes glaze over and I realize that I've lost them.
I used to back track and try to make it sound more understandable but I realize that the average person really isn't interested in the "process" and perhaps they were just being polite in asking.
That's okay too. It was kind of them ask.
