When you've read my answers, be sure to hop on over to my writing buddy Katie's blog to see how she answered these same questions.
How does your writing impact your inner life?
I find that writing gives me inner peace and an inner escape and that is very good for my inner life these days. When I create a different world, with different circumstances, I can create happy endings that makes me happy.
How do you hope your books affect your readers?
I hope my books does what other books have done to people who love to read. I want them to provide an escape. Preferably, a pleasurable escape so that when they see my next book, they'll want to purchase and read it. And so on, and so on. My biggest hope is that I might build a fan base and that those fans will want to discuss some of my characters with me but not argue about what I have done with the characters I developed. I've seen that happen before and it was an ugly, ugly mess.
Has anyone ever told you your book changed their life? If so, how?
Not yet. I'm new to publishing, but I'm not sure how I would handle that kind of responsibility if something like that happens. On the other hand, it would be an honor to have something like that happen...if that change was a positive change.
